Phillies Acquire Hunter Pence

Posted on August 3, 2011

The Phillies acquireed Hunter Pence late last night in exchange for pitching prospect Jarred Cosart, Jonathan Singleton, Josh Zeid, and another player to be named later.

Perhaps the Phillies gave up a bit too much for the 28 year old slugger, but there is no question that he will play a big part in helping the Phillies bring home another World Series.

It seemed from the start Ruben Amaro Jr. was not going to let Pence by and the Phillies received anotehr bargain from Ed Wade yet again.

Hunter Pence is hitting .308 with 11HR and 62 RBI’s on this season.
